I'm not really a fan of modern rock, because it sounds like a bit of a racket to me. With the older rock, you get the same great guitar and the like, but actual vocal talent (in most cases) too. Rap I hate because of lack of talent, lack of tune, and often stupid lyrics. Garage for above, only add stupid beat. Trance as the same, only replace stupid lyrics with no lyrics and the fact it all sounds the same.

Dark: - That's The Only Darkness Song I Like. Also, look where it came in my order of liking them - Queen are perhaps my favorite band of all time. Only other contenders are Guns N Roses and U2. I like all of their songs alot, but they're all just below borderline on my CD, besides Under Pressure and Bohemian Rhapsody which have been like Yoyos in and out of my Songs Ala James Cds . Ruth: - Glad you like my taste. If you exlpain what's so great about modern stuff I'd really appreciate it - REM have been on my CDs in the past. Like Queen though, no real stand out songs for me. |

Only some modern stuff is good, like when the people in the bands actually sing, instead of scream. Also, some of it is very good if you can pick out individual instruments well, there are some amazing guitarists out there. Things like Brand New are good, if you've tried them out (*coughdgcough*) Yep, your taste is good though Oh yeah, while I remember, has anybody heard a song called My Sharona? It's by The Knack, and if you listen to it, it has the catchiest bassline ever  |

I actually do acknowledge talent, even if I don't like a band, but this is different. Mupp told me that they were crap (He even like them, but he is embarassed about it) so I listened to quite a lot of their songs and 1of their albums, the first thing that my brain told me was "Suicide is your only option" but I just chose the easier option and threw the biggest thing I could find at the cd player.
