There is now way he got over 6000 KOs. The gates don't leak fast enough.

Okay Javee, I hope you took a pic, or you can just provide a method that meets your standards, and this matter will be resolved.

Heh, yeah this battle sucks, but here is how I did it: First off, I do not blame you for challenging me, Raiden. I think it is healthy and that we need to explain high scores, especialy KO scores. And just because someone else in the tourney claims they could do it no problem is not the same as explaining exactly how, which is more believable (there is always someone willing to say they can do it). I also want to commend you for a very good score. If I had played as Zhang Fei, I do not know what I would have done, but I would have been very happy with your score. The battle: It took me several tries to realize that there was a way to keep at least one gate leaking and also play on easy, and you have to remember I use the Ma Chao move-set, which helps immensely. You must play as Ma Chao or I doubt you can get that many KOs. I chose Dong Zhuo's cause it was only a 3 star battle which means only two C1 charge attacks from a horse to kill all the peons in a troop. One for the first 4, one for that last stronger lieutenant. Now with a battle axe in hand that means one C1 will kill anyone who is on the ground when it hits them, including lieutenants. Bring your Art of War for 60 seconds of pure death with each battle-axe picked up. The real key I found in this battle is not that the gates don't leak well enough. The key is that all the gates are linked to a WOpp. If that WOpp dies, the gate is GONE for good. In general I found that most gates gave a maximum of 4 troops leakage at a time, plus the gate captain's troop. Leaking gates: 1- Ling Tong's gate- Lower middle left, didn't use because Lu Bu is right there and so is Ling Tong- he will die shortly so forget it. 2- Lu Meng's gate- upper middle left-this leaks a good 4 troops but the gate captain tends to harass you and Lu Meng will die quickly if you feed here because his morale will drop and an ally will be on him shortly like flies on sh.... 3- Sun Quan's gate- upper middle right. Zhou Tai may also contribute here as a linked WOpp, but it was Sun Quan who died last and made it quit. This one could probably leak more than 4 troops at a time, but I used it with only 4 and then 3 leaking and only for the first 1850 KO. 4- Zhu Huan's gate- upper right. Again a 4 troop leaker but I sensed that my allies would get to it because you have two allies starting up the right side and then when SSX appears later on with a surprise fire attack against you, it also draws the allies. If nothing else the troops from the lower right gate will reach it and hassle you. 5- Xu Sheng's gate upper left- this was my main gate- a 4 troop leaker, and as you will see from my description, this is the only gate that you can keep going for the entire 60 minutes. I had Xu Sheng die once so I had to do it over again. this time Gan Ning's reinforcment troops held up for the whole battle and no allied general ventured to the east. 6 and 7- The middle left and right gates. I didn't even bother with them because your allies will be there or you will kill all the WOpps around who bother you if you use them. To be honest, I did not research them at all. Next post is the battle method I used. Here is the pic:

My method:
I realized that I had to get my allies to die off (at least some of them) in order to maintain my final northwest gate.
I used Art of War, Tiger, Shadow saddle, horned helmet, wind scroll and Elixir (worthless here actually), plus the Poison Orb.
I stole Red Hare from Lu Bu (not that important, but hey it is available) and killed Ling Tong quickly. I rode North from here not killing anything. I declined a duel with Lu Meng, continued to Sun Quan and declined a duel with him. Continued to Zhou Tai and declined a duel with him. Now your allie's morale is less than the enemy and they will shortly struggle. I cleared the peons from Sun Quan back to the gate and sat outside Sun Quan's gate (upper middle right), Slowly I killed the peons as they emerged and came to me far away from the gate and gate captain, and made sure never to get a morale boost at any 50 KO point. Also all saves must be made when several troops are on the field or the gate leakage is damaged. The point of all of this is to get some of your allies to die. The most important ally to die is Guo Si. If he does not die by 3 or 400 KOs you should start again. I was lucky enough in my final try to get both him and Lu Bu to die by about 500 KOs.
There is a glitch that can happen to you at 500 or so KOs where all of the sudden there will be no more 50KO morale boosts possible, no comment from the allies at the 50 KO points or anything. This also means no 1000KO statement of being a true warrior of the three kingdoms and thus your commander will die. You must have these morale boosts eventually, so if this ever happens you are screwed and you have to go back a save or two or start over. (occasionally rotating memory cards helps immensely).
Anyway, when you start getting the "main camp is under attack" messages you risk losing your commander and it is time to get your butt in gear, getting KOs quickly (this is at about at 50 minutes left or so). Guo Si and Lu Bu had died and at about 500KOs I began my feeding in the standard way of posting the bodyguards with the captain and riding past them. I fed at this gate, Sun Quan's, up to about 1800KOs getting 3 or 4 troops appearing over and over and hitting them with C1s. I was at about 40 minutes at this point, maybe 42 minutes, not sure. During this feeding your allies will move forward and begin to kill WOpps, including Lu Meng, Zhou Tai, and eventually Sun Quan. When he dies the gate stops leaking and there is not much left for getting KOs except......
Over in the west is Xu Sheng, who has migrated down to the middle left field. He is surrounded by his troops, and in this case, the southern half of the field is covered by Gan Ning's reinforcing peons, and Gan Ning is further south past a bridge. There are NO ALLIES over here and thus Xu Sheng will be safe as your allies are all intent on moving North through the middle and right areas to the castle where they will find Sun Jian is not there and he appears to the south in the middle.
I rode to Xu Sheng's area, and from a save I killed his peons without damaging him. Do not kill the lower third of the field (Gan Ning's troops). If you reach here and Gan Ning is not yet here forget about this part of the method, but you must kill Xu Sheng's troops.
Now ride north to the northwest gate (Xu Sheng's) and kill the troops on the way. When you reach this spot you must have 4 troops leaking in this upper field besides the gate captains's troop.
Every 4th troop will have a battle axe. Now comes the part that will try your patience. You must get your BGs to station themselves with the gate captain fairly far out in the field. Only Ma Chao can do this I think, because you have to run past him and usually kill a few more loose troops on your way to the actual gate.
This gate captain can be induced to occasionally do this weird march way out into the field. The best gate feeding is done when you can get your BGs to hold him out there about on the edge of your minimap when feeding. I would ride in using a battle axe and feed. If I did not make it with 4 troops leaking continuosly I would go back to the save, or if I thought I had damaged the gate captain on my way in ( a little damage is OK, but you will have to repeat this set up a few times, maybe 6 times or so, depending on your luck during the rest of the battle). The cool thing is that if the gate captain is fairly far out away from the gate, you can pull back your horse once in awhile and get another axe before moving forward again against the gate itself, and can thus string the battle axes together over and over.
I did this until I had 45 seconds left, made sure I had a battle axe and then raced to Sun Jian. In my final highest scoring battle he was down in the middle area to the north of the wooden barricade gate just north of where Ling Tong was. Another attempt where I got 5300KOs he was in the upper castle.
Xu Sheng stands alone in his middle western field all of this time and never gets hassled by your allies. Thus your gate can leak for the full 60 minutes. Always make sure if you save that you have the 4 troops visible in your northwest area at the time of the save.
