Born to Kung Hun To, wife of Long Wa, a scholar in the Han dynasty. Reeve Long had always had a facination with weapons and martial arts. While still young, he was apprenticed to a local weaponsmith, who was his friend's father. In spite of his father objection, Reeve learned martial art, but all the while have to be a scholar like his father. When of age, he prepared himself for the official test. Being a quick learner he had mastered both as a scholar and a fighter. He left home at only the age of 10 and headed to the capitol in order to take the exam. However, on the way there he was diverge as a band of thieves tried to rob him. Being outnumber, he fell of the mountain during his flight from them.
Days later he woke up and found himself in a house. He pulled himself up and looked around, the place was filled with the taoist symbol hexagonal diagrams. Far from him stood a rack of weapons of all kinds. From Sword to Halberd. Suddenly a man comes walking in, he was a middle age man, but lines of worries adorned his face.
Reeve looked at him studying his stature. The way he walked showed that he was no regular man. The man asked, "Hmm, your awake, did you want something to eat young man?"
Reeve nodded and got out of bed. Reeve questioned the old man, "Where am I?" The man ignored the question and went to get a bowl and poured porridge filling the bowl halfway. He set it on the table. "What happened to you, and who are you?" Reeve answered, "I was attacked by a band of thieves, and well the last thing i remembered is falling off of a mountain." He continued to tell who he was. For some reason, he trusted the man enough to tell him what was needed.
Reeve finished his porridge after telling his story. The man nodded, "Well, I've save your life, so I wish you to do something for me." Reeve looked and studied the man's face. Reeve nodded, "Its only natural, what do you need to be done?" The man continued, "I want you to stay here with me and learn my martial arts." Reeve eyes brightened, "Learn your martial arts....but why...me?" The old man answered, "Its not a matter of you questioning me anymore, you owe your life to me." Now if your done with that choose a weapon from the rack over there and come out here.
Reeve got up and went on over to examine the variety of weapons standing on the rack. He had always liked fighting with the staff which is a good defense weapon as well as offensive and at the same time wouldn't kill unless the user wished. But all the weapons here were bladed weapons. Suddenly Reeve spots what would be the closest resemblance. He went over and slowly pulled out a spear adorned with a dragon wrapping around it.
His training soon began, and he didn't know how long he stayed there for. After years of rigorous training the day came when the old man said, "You could leave now. You have learned all I could teach..." Reeve looked at the man he had spent his years with for years. Reeve asked, "If I may sensei, ask your name and who you are?"
"My name is Wang Yun, I cannot tell you who I am, but I could tell you that my fathers before me, served under Shi Huang Di and helped him gain the title of Emperor."
Reeve eyes widened.
The old man continued, "Take that spear and I've prepared a bag with clothing and food prepared for you. Take Black Dragon with you as well. Although he's been with me for years, I believe you will be a better master. Take the road over there and continue on it. Then once your up on the plains head south. Then you will reach china once again."
Reeve, "Reach china?"
The Wang Yun, "Yes, you are in the territory of the mongolians. Many things have happened since you left however. Now go!"
With that Reeve got his supplies together and got on Black Dragon, as he slowly head up the road. He took one last glance at Wang Yun and the place he's been living for years. With that he turned and followed Wang Yun's direction. Finally reaching the borders of China he was let in by the gate guards after a small amount of bribery. He was hoping to reach him parent, and so did not stop. After coming back to his hometown he was astound. The town was in desolation.
Reeve's heart beated with everytime the horse feet touch the ground, as he rushed to where his family lived. There in front of his eyes the house was in ruins. Getting off of his horse, Reeve walked slowly toward the house. He walked inside, then suddenly spots someone. It was a beggar and he was scrounging through some stuff. The beggar looked up and saw Reeve and was in terror.
Reeve declared "Wait, don't go, I mean no harm." The beggar hesitated. Reeve, "What happened here?" The beggar got closer, "Blood...killing...Cao Cao." WIth that the beggar jumped and ran off. Reeve was in silent. He slowly walked out and got on his horse once again. He traveled through city and soon was up to date on the news. Han had fallen, and it had been 5 years since he had been in china.
From then on Reeve swore to stop Cao Cao's chaos.
