Seclusion, serenity, tranquility.
As the sun draws out its late and descends under the horizon, darkness envelops the forest of Longzhong. Not a sound was heard, except for an occasional rustling of the leaves. A figure sat alone under night sky. Besides him laid a incandescent spear almost glowing in the soft moon light.
In but seconds, piercing brown eyes open wide and Reeve grabbed his spear with one swift motion stood up and headed off to a cottage nearby.
Having eyes already adjusted to the dark, Reeve had no problem as he entered the dark cottage. From his tunic he pulled out a firestarter and went to the table and lit his lantern.
The lantern's light reached across the room slowly as the darkness receded. The cottage had many distinct figures inside. A single bed laid on the left side while shelves of books was stacked on the right. On the table laid the Sun Tzu Art of War.
Reeve had arrived here only months earliar and after close inspection believe this was the very place, Zhuge Liang had live. He sat down by the table and slowly open the delicate pages with his fingers. He had been studying the books for weeks hoping to master it in every way.
Hours passed and suddenly an odd wind came through making the glowing light of the lantern flicker. Reeve stopped and slowly closed the book. He stood up and a calm slow voice said, "It is time..." He went over to the bed and hidden underneath was a leather armor of white with gold lining. He tucks the Art of War into a bag along with food he had in storage.
Heading out the door he grab his spear and walk at a quick pace to a steed in black camouflouge in the night if not for its armor. Already all saddled in heavy armor of white, Reeve was expecting to leave soon. He threw himself over the horse and pulled on the reins. The horse reared and gave out a neigh and in seconds darted through the woods.
All Reeve saw was flashed of green and brown as he passed through a thicket of trees. However, this wasn't what he thought about. His mind was off elsewhere. He mind was filled with excitement and at the same time confusion. The wind had blew from the east, who could be stationed there right at the moment.
Out from the entrance of the forest, a black steed burst as leaves and branches were send flying. He pulled on the reins of the horse and stopped in the plains. The sun soon started to rise lighting up the sky, its arm reaching out across the plain chasing off the darkness into the forest once again. Reeve grins and turn his horse and headed east.
