Upon arriving at the palace in Xin Ye, Xiahou Dun hears the news of the lord Zhang Fei had surrendered to the forces of Ding Feng. Xiahou Dun brings his troops into the city and sets up guards on the walls allowing no one to come in or leave without authorization through him. He then sends a messenger to Liu Bei in Qiao and another one to find Lu Meng and ask them to join him in the seat of power. He then sends more riders out to cross through the lands finding notable warriors to stand up and fight for freedom from the tyrany that is the Shu forces. After this he sends a messenger ,guarded by 100 armed guards, to find the leader of the defeated Wu forces and present him with Xiahou Dun's prized scimiter as a sign of freindship between the two parties. He then sends another messenger to Meng Huo ,leader of the Man tribes of the South, offering a marriage between one of Xiahou Dun's sons with a member of Meng Huo's family. After all this was said and done Xiahou Dun appointed men to gather the people and reasure them that they shall not be harmed.

[Conker: Liu Bei]

Liu Bei had been sitting in his cabin planning after being unable to accquire Lu Meng as a full time general. Liu Bei pondered on what to do next. Shu had taken over China after the others surrendered, but it didn't seem right to Liu Bei. His goal hadn't been completed yet, and he wanted to get a chance at it. One man could not take on the forces of a whole kingdom though.

All of a sudden a messanger of Xiahou Dun had came into the cabin. The messanger had told Liu Bei of Xiahou Dun's plan to form a new kingdom, and Liu Bei saw his chance.

Liu Bei: Finally a chance to achieve what I've been trying to get for years. I shall join with him. I shall gather my loyalist armies and join him at Ding Feng.

Liu Bei sent the messanger back to Xiahou Dun to tell him the news. Liu Bei quickly gethered his belongs and plans and mounted his horse. He knew where his loyalists were hiding, and he knew Xiahou Dun would need all the reinforcements he could get. Nothing would stop Liu Bei's dream now.
